Julius and Julia Ariail at the dining hall of the Episcopal camp and conference center in El Pedregal, Dominican Republic, in June 2013.

Congratulations to Julius and Julia Ariail who have been nominated for “The Excellence in Servanthood Award” sponsored by the Deacons of the Diocese of Georgia. Julia and Julius were nominated by Michael Wood of Statesboro, and endorsed by the Reverend Robert Stevens, Executive Director of the Dominican Development Group, and from our diocese by the Reverends David Somerville and Tar Drazdowski. Mr. Wood nominated Julia and Julius for their tireless efforts in creating information so that new short term missionaries may understand what to expect when joining a mission team. They were also recognized for their work in promoting the Dominican Development Group. Their graphic and editorial skills gave a new face to the DDG newsletter, which has a circulation of 1,200 recipients. Julia and Julius also share their talents with Christ Church Valdosta and the Diocese of Georgia. They are excellent examples of servants! We wish them the best of luck.

The winners of the award will be announced at the February 2013 Convention of the Diocese of Georgia in Tifton.
