Notes from a Vestry Person of the Week

Each Sunday morning a vestry member will be at all three morning services to greet worshippers as they enter and leave the church. Not only will this arrangement provide an opportunity for the congregations and vestry members get to know each other better, but it also will open another way for folks to ask questions and make suggestions about Christ Church.
The vestry person will note the attendance at each service, open the Gabard Building for Sunday School and, when the last service is over, make sure all lights and faucets in the church are turned off and all doors locked.
Please do introduce yourself and make your thoughts known. We need your ideas to make Christ Church a welcoming house of God.
This vestry person had a wonderful time meeting people who attend different services from the ones she usually attends and being reminded of the rich variety of music and liturgy in the three services as well as collecting ideas for the next workday and referring questions about the search process to the Search Committee members.
