The rain on the evening of Friday, April 19th, didn’t faze the dozen elementary and middle school youth who came for pizza, popcorn and to view the movie Despicable Me. The new education building’s multi-purpose room provided a wall as a huge movie screen. The happy youth also entertained each other with a little indoor soccer, basketball, and dancing. John David Greneker, one of the youth who attended, stated that his favorite snack was the popcorn and his favorite part about the movie was seeing the unicorn “because it’s so fluffy!” He also enjoyed dancing around and making shadows on the projection wall during the credits at the end of the movie.

A smaller high school group met separately in the high school EYC room for fellowship and to watch the movie Avatar.

Adult chaperones for this event included Mimi Allen, Stefani Carroll, Phyllis Hiers, and Julie Van Ham.
