On the evening of Tuesday, August 20, 2013, about 30 members of the Men in Blue gathered at Dave Clark’s “Little House” in Lake Park for a fish fry to raise funds for Fragile X and autism research. This event was followed by the Third Annual “Team Up for a Cure Charity Golf Outing” at Francis Lake Golf Club on Friday, August 23. The fish fry raised $1,005.00, all of which was donated to help speed the day when a cure can be found for these diseases.

The Valdosta Daily Times published an article on this topic on August 23, 2013, and that article is accessible online here: http://valdostadailytimes.com/local/x250196611/Fragile-X
