The renovation of the Tomberlin House from a preschool to university student housing is 95% complete, and the renovated house will be blessed by the Rev. Joye Cantrell on Sunday, September 15, 2013, immediately after the 10:00 a.m. worship service. We will hold an open house at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 19th, to show the house to members of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Valdosta State University and others who might be interested in renting one or more of the bedrooms.

This use of the Tomberlin House became possible after the move of our Preschool to the Gabard Building in the fall of 2012. After an extensive study of several options, the vestry decided that student housing would be the best use for the now-empty building and authorized the renovation work to be done by Paul Stevenson and Mike Richardson. Income from this student housing will be used to support Christ Church’s many programs.
