On Thursday, December 19th, about 25 parishioners and friends assembled in the parish hall to organize themselves into three teams to go to local homes and family shelters to sing Christmas carols. This event was organized by Frances and Merrill Guice, reviving a traditional event from a decade or so ago. Individuals brought desserts to share after the caroling teams returned to the parish hall. The three teams went by vehicle caravan to homes and the local shelter for families in distress to sing, using song sheets prepared by Merrill. Each team had a guitar player to provide accompaniment. Frances stayed behind in the parish hall to get the hot spiced tea and other treats ready to enjoy as the teams returned from their appointed rounds.
