Known worldwide as UTO, the United Thank Offering grants are awarded for projects that address human needs and help alleviate poverty both domestically and internationally. The United Thank Offering award funds are derived from the Ingatherings collected twice a year (Spring and Fall) from the well-known and easily recognizable United Thank Offering Blue Box.
This is a personal spiritual discipline of thanksgiving for the good things that happen every day. We all have so much to be thankful for; it can be as simple as a birthday card from a friend, sunshine or larger things like recovery from a serious illness, or the birth of a healthy child.
The offering of your prayerful thanks fill the blue box. Your prayers and thankful quarters, dimes and dollars across the Episcopal Church support God’s mission around the world one act of prayerful tangible thanksgiving at a time. You’re never too old or too young to count your blessings and share your thankful spirit with others and start a daily spiritual practice.
It’s easy! Just notice the good things that happen each day. Every coin and bill helps to transform lives in the United States and around the world. Your blessings become blessings for others.
Our spring ingathering will be collected on Sunday, May 10th, by our youth on Youth Sunday. Envelopes will be available in the pew holders and also in your church bulletin on the 10th.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
